Last week I was not sleeping well. If you follow me on snapchat you would have seen a lot of late night complaints. I've been an insomniac since I was a teenager but since moving here, my sleep has been fairly consistent. I still struggle, especially if something is stressing me out. But it has been so much better. So when sleepless moments happen, I get super whiny and I don't handle it as well as I use too. I used to be able to work 6 days a week on 5 hours of sleep, the entire week. I once went two weeks with 8 hours of sleep. How I don't know, but it happened. After that I went to the doctor and got help. But drugs are a messy thing and I hate how the make me feel. Now that I have no outside responsibilities and sleepless cycles happen rarer, so I deal. Blogging is so flexible it doesn't matter if I sleep during daylight hours.

All of this brings me back to last week. Three nights of sleeplessness. I was tired, realizing it had been four days since showering; and yes that's gross but when you haven't left the house and haven't worked out and your tired, muh. I decided to do a mini series of how to turn my day around. In steps. I liked the idea so much, I'm sharing it here with you. The video includes all the back story of my sleeplessness and then the steps.

So when you can't sleep take the time to do a few things that start you fresh, re-energized and just maybe, maybe you'll chat a few zzzz's that night.
