September has been a special month. For the first time since moving here we had Canadian guests! Those guests were not the ones we expected to come and yet they are two people I treasure very much.
Road Trip Part One
Part one was prepping the house and then driving to pick up them up! We moved our office into our living room and turned the office into a bedroom. Picked up air mattresses and created a space for them to sleep. Because our guests were coming from so far away, I created a care package full of supplies just in case they forget something or weren't allowed to bring it across the board (because that happens). I am pretty happy with how the space turned out.
And on the 31 of August Kevin and I loaded up our luggage and drove off to Minneapolis, about a 4 hour drive. Checked into our hotel room, took a couple of fun photos and then headed to the airport
Road Trip Part Two
Our Guests - my lovely Sister and Gramma, both of whom we haven't seen in ages. My sister since last spring, just after her 15th birthday and my Gramma since last summer just before we left Canada. I was super thrilled to have these two here and once we picked them up our exploration of Minneapolis and Wisconsin began!!
Places you see in this video, in order of appearance

Road Trip Part Three
After the Dells we made the drive to Madison, where they got to see our little apartment. From there things were left unplanned, we played a lot of games, went to Taste of Madison (which I'll chat about on Monday), went for Mani/Pedis and finally Kevin's work. At Kevin's work, I got to play tourist for the first time and the three of us followed the guided maps, taking the walking tour around the buildings. Discovering the weirdest things in the strangest places and generally having a good time. We set up the camera's to take group pictures. Of course, the first stop was my swing!
I, of course, look ridiculous in this photo!! But that's okay!
The funniest picture however, is this one. It was our first attempt at a group photo and Gramma decided to sit on the glass table. It didn't turn out so well, but the camera caught the moment and I am so happy it did!!I had many lovely moments with these ladies and I am so glad they came out!
