The Last Apprentice
Kevin and I were wandering through Sentry Box on Saturday. He got stuck in pathfinder and I found the books. I made it about 1/8 of the way through the books (it is a pretty huge book area) when I picked up
The Last Apprentice Book 1 - Revenge of the Witch by Joseph Delaney
His name sounded familiar (read his short story here) and so I picked it up and started reading. By the time Kevin found me I was on page 110 and hooked. We walked out of the story with presents for the boys in our D&D group and book 1 and 2 for me to read.
"My dad once told me that women know things that men don't. That sometimes they have a certain look in their eyes, but when you see it, you should never ask them what they're thinking. If you do, they might tell you something you don't want to hear."
Thomas J. Ward is the 7th son of the 7th son. And while the Spook doesn't believe in coincidences, he too is the 7th son of the 7th son. The story drew my in and I like that the Spook was so nice about things. My favorite part of the book has to do with pointed shoes
Off I go to read Book two!!
