Good Gods, book one

Dear in Headlights by Staci Hart
Release Date: February 10 2014
Publisher: Indie Inked
Received from: NetGalley
Rating: 3.5
Cover Thoughts: muh. Is only one part of the book. I would have preferred something with Aphrodite and Apollo looking down over a person on stage singing to a person in the crowd. Or something
Review: I've been sitting here reading this book for a few days now and haven't been able to figure out what about this book has been bothering me. I've finally figured it out.

All the woman in this book use sex as something to withhold from men to get their way.

All the men treat the woman like objects that are there to have sex with.

There is no respect among the characters for the other sex. And it is driving me nuts!

And yet at the same-time I was annoyed by all this I really enjoyed the story.

I loved Lex
I felt for Dean (I also happen to know a guy named Dean who's in a band...)
I cheered for Roe and Kara
I almost cried for Apollo
I hated Aphrodite
I wanted to know more about Perry and Hades

The interesting part I found is at the end of the book. The author makes an offer - review her book on amazon and goodreads, let her know via email or facebook and she'll send you an E-copy of the next book. It's so tempting to do so. But I just don't know if I can get past the sexism.
