Fake Gingerbread Cookies



¾ cups butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2¼ cup flour
1 tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp ginger
¼ tsp nutmeg
1 tsp baking powder

More sugar for rolling


Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Line a cookie tray with some parchment paper. In a bowl mix butter and sugar, add the cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and baking powder. Mix in the egg and slowly add the flour until your dough is thick For small balls and roll them on sugar. Place on your cookie tray and refrigerate for 15 minutes. Take to the oven and bake for another 15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and let them cool. Serve and enjoy


I called them fake gingerbread cookies because they taste more like snickerdoodles than gingerbread.
