Alway a Witch by Carolyn McCullough

Always a Witch is a two book series called Witch. I don't know yet if there is a third and I really hope there is as I really enjoyed this story. I have not read Once a Witch, which is book one of the series, but hope to acquire it soon. I have had this book for a while so I don't remember what site lead me to wanting to read it, but what original lead me to want to read it (besides the great synopsis) was the cover. Look how beautiful the cover is, she looks so lonely and well I love gorgeous dresses!!

The Synopsis according to goodreads

The adventures of Tam and Gabriel continue with more time travel, Talents, spy work, and of course, the evil Knights.
Since the gripping conclusion of Once A Witch, Tamsin Greene has been haunted by her grandmother's prophecy that she will soon be forced to make a crucial decision—one so terrible that it could harm her family forever. When she discovers that her enemy, Alistair Knight, went back in time to Victorian-era New York in order to destroy her family, Tamsin is forced to follow him into the past. Stranded all alone in the nineteenth century, Tamsin soon finds herself disguised as a lady's maid in the terrifying mansion of the evil Knight family, avoiding the watchful eye of the vicious matron, La Spider, and fending off the advances of Liam Knight. As time runs out, both families square off in a thrilling display of magic. And to her horror, Tamsin finally understands the nature of her fateful choice

So as I said even though I have not read book 1, I didn't feel like I was missing any major story. I still got to know the characters and things were still explained.

Tamsin is such a beautiful name! Actually I really liked all the names Carolyn used. Rowena, Liam, Gabriel. Tamsin is an interesting character. This was a really quick easy read, I read it in one afternoon. It was light and fast pacing which was exactly what I needed after reading two serious books.

I think it probably has something to do with being book two but I would have love more background on the Talents, to get a better understanding of what it all meant. All in all I really enjoyed this book and will definitely read again. So I am looking forward to buying it when it does officially come out.

Always a Witch will be release August 1, 2011. I got the book through NetGalley, I am so thankful to the publisher Houghton Mifflin Harcourt for the opportunity to read Carolyn's book before it's release date. I am sad it took me so long to read the book, but as you can hopefully tell I really enjoyed it.
