Release Date: 2015
Publisher: Fitness Print Publication
Received from: I received this book free in exchange for an honest review. At the time I was part of 20SB. I am no longer a part of 20SB (the website seem to stalled in it's networking). However I was looking forward to reviewing and reading this book. I didn't fully realize that it was a workbook. I had assumed it would be more of a fitness book, tips etc. So I definitely got more than I bargained for.
Rating: 4
Cover Thoughts: Shows you what the book is and I love the coloring! Though I love anything pink, black and white.
Review: This book makes you think. There are exercises (mental exercises not physical) that include a lot of detailed writing in regards to your goals for becoming and maintaining a body for Physique Competitions. I only recently heard of Physique Competitions when I watched Freckled Fox train for one. It piqued my interest, because of the dedication, the honesty (though I am not sure if that was just in her or if it runs across the competition) and the support group that follows.

I am not fit. My Goals are basic - be running a steady and consistent 10KM by the end of 2015. With the end goal of running both Disney Marathon Weekend Races in 2020.

I think to get to the level this book would take me, a few things would have to change. First our eating habits. I say "our" because I couldn't do this without Kevin. And while I don't think he would ever do a competition I do think that once the stress of school and finding a job is over. Fitness will become our major priority and he wants to take boxing lessons.

So while I can't fully utilize the book right now I am so glad I have it. I am a planner, I like a detailed list of where I am going for the next five years. I like to see it written out. This book asks me questions I never would have thought of and will help push me to that level.

The only thing slightly frustrating was that the book needs a partner book called "In Pursuit of Excellence." Something at this time I am not ready to buy. But I will get there.

The book also have great online resources, be sure to check it out.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this book, even though I am not yet the perfect audience for it. Here's to a beautiful journey of fitness!
