Adventures in Traveling

2017-07-15 08.48.17 1.jpg

Born and raised in Alberta, Canada we haven't had much opportunity to explore our own country. With time and a little luck we hope to one day see more of what Canada offers. It's a beautiful, diverse country full of many amazing things to explore and discover.

Our home. Kevin born in Lethbridge, Angela in Calgary. We've explored both cities thoroughly, as well as parts of Edmonton and Southern Alberta.

Some of the things we've done

The Intensity of a Festival

British Columbia

As a child, I had many road trips through BC to a city called Abbotsford BC. As an adult, Kevin and I have taken a few adventures through it for visits to see family and friends. This is definitely my favorite province. It's beautiful, full of forest and mountains, along the coast and offers many amazing views.

The Many Gardens of Vancouver
Trip to Revelstoke

In general Saskatchewan was always a drive through province to get to Winnipeg or deeper into Canada. However family moved there and I began exploring parts of this flat section of Canada.

The Beginning Drive
The Adventures of Pascal

For many years we use to go for one weekend to the capital of Manitoba - Winnipeg for a conference. We'd drive up with friends, through the night, share hotel rooms and attend 2 full days of conferences and then drive back through the night to go to work the next day. I've seen the inside of a few beautiful hotels but I have never explored the province. Even on our move to the US we only stayed in Winnipeg one night, devoured some good Thai food and moved on.

One side of my family lives in Ontario. I have had the chance to met some of them. However neither Kevin and I have had much chance to explore the province they come from. During our move we did manage to drive through the Canadian Shield. A lovely section of road through part of the province. We spent a few lovely days in Thunder Bay. One day I'd love to get a chance to actually see the wonders that can be found in Ontario

Some of the things we've done

Winnipeg to Thunder Bay
The End of Thunder Bay
The Border Crossing

The Rest of Canada

Quebec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nunavut, Northwest Territories, and Yukon Territory.

6 Provinces left unexplored. Fingers crossed we can one day enjoy what they have to offer.

Our New Home

United States

Bordering almost all of Canada. The US tends to be the first country Canadian kids travel to.

One of my first adventures was a bus trip from our home in Alberta to Disneyland in California when I was 15. From there were many adventures into Montana, but never from from the border. Kevin's first adventures into the states was to White Fish, Montana. Having never explored further into the states, we were rather excited when the opportunity for work opened up. In 2015 we moved from Alberta, Canada to Madison, Wisconsin.

The Move

Since then we have been on a mission to visit each state. Starting with Wisconsin.

Our home state. The place of cheese curds and the Green Bay Packers. Now I am not a football fan, so our adventures exploring the green state will be focusing on more "fun" things.

The rest of the USA

Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, D.C., Florida, Hawaii, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wyoming.

47 states left unexplored. Fingers crossed we can one day enjoy what they have to offer.

International Travel

If you haven't been to Cuba, you should go. It's a beautiful place. My pictures don't do it justice and while I don't agree with their political situation, I am thankful to have had the opportunity to explore the country.
